Now what kind of person would I be if I didn't support our second home? It's only a 2 hour drive out of the city and we promise you won't be disappointed! One of our favourite things to do is visit the Sandbanks Provincial Park. There's walking trails for those looking for a nice stroll and the water is shallow with a gentle drop for anyone looking to visit with their family. If bringing your pup is too much work, drop them off for the day at BFF Ranch!
Yes I am aware that this is a very touristy place but have you ever been during the winter? There is really no one there and you have the whole island to explore! If your pup has Instagram account there is an endless amount of 'candid' photo possibilities. Believe me, one day and I was set for weeks of photos and #throwbackthursdays.
Imagine a beach full of happy, off-leash dogs chasing balls. The sun is out (not too much, we need some shade), you're happy, your dog's happy, everyone's laughing in slow motion. That is Cherry Beach. It's a wonderful summer adventure that will allow your pup to get the exercise they need in the city. Be sure to remember beach etiquette and if you're wondering what to pack, we got you!
You, nature, your pup, what else would you want for the perfect summer day? Whether you want to go camping or visit one of the trails, Halton has you covered. I would highly suggest packing everything on the list as this will be a full day trip! Be sure to bring your camera and you'll be set with photos forever!
It's beautiful, it's green, there's lots of space for your pup to run! What else would you both want from a day out? If you really want to challenge yourself, get in a canoe and go through the marsh. Don't forget to add pupper life jacket to the list if that's the case. Prepare for ALL the things!
